Two arrested for attacking traffic inspector in Salem

The Pallapatti police arrested Manikandan of Cinema Nagar at Pallapatti and Sathish of Mettur on Friday night for attacking a police inspector. Traffic police inspector Venkatachalam was directing motorists to remove two-wheelers parked on the road near the Salem new bus stand on Friday night. The Nallur police registered a case and arrested four people, including Ashok Kumar. According to the police, Annadurai consumed liquor near a Tasmac outlet in Karichipalayam and at that time, a verbal duel broke out between him and his relative Ashok Kumar.
