‘Switch Off’ Your Way to a Better Earth

On the 26th of March, 2011, a global movement will take shape. ‘Earth Hour’, a World Wildlife Fund supported movement aims to, with a small step, take a huge leap in conserving the earth’s resources. The Earth Hour movement has, in the 4 years of its existence, gained quite some momentum in landmarks like Asia, the Pacific region, Africa, Americas. In 2009, people in more than 4000 cities from over 80 countries officially took part in this initiative making it the biggest global climate change initiative. This year, amidst major changes happening almost in a sequence, the need for India to be a whole-hearted part of it becomes crucial.
