We saw how Mumbai was attacked, terrorists still roaming freely in Lahore: Javed Akhtar in Pakistan
India TodayWriter-lyricist Javed Akhtar, who has often been trolled in India over his remarks, has roughed up Pakistan over terrorism, and that too in Lahore. He said the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks were still roaming freely in Pakistan despite several complaints by India. He also said that Pakistan never held any event for Lata Mangeshkar despite India organizing big events for Pakistani artists Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mehdi Hasan. On November 26, 2008, 10 Pakistani terrorists entered India by the sea route and opened fire indiscriminately killing 166 people, including 18 security personnel, and injuring several others, besides damaging property worth crores. The then Anti-Terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkare, Army Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Mumbai's Additional Police Commissioner Ashok Kamte and Senior Police Inspector Vijay Salaskar were among those killed in the 26/11 attack.
