Delhi Assembly election 2025: Congress promises ₹8,500 to unemployed youths if voted to power
The HinduThe Congress on Sunday promised to give ₹8,500 per month to educated unemployed youth in Delhi for one year if it comes to power in Delhi, under a scheme called the ‘Yuva Udaan Yojana’. On January 6, the Congress announced the ‘Pyaari Didi Yojana’, promising ₹2,500 per month for women and on January 8, the party announced the ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ to provide free health insurance of up to ₹25 lakh. Making the promise at a press conference on Sunday, AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot said both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party “totally ignored” the youth in the past 11 years, when they were busy building the Raj Mahal and Sheesh Mahal, respectively. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav said that the Congress has made the announcement on National Youth Day, which falls on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, for the upliftment of the youth.
