Ground report: After healthcare workers, frontline Covid warriors get vaccinated in Delhi
India TodayIndia's biggest coronavirus vaccination drive took another step after it began inoculation of 2 crore frontline workers across the nation on Thursday. Two hospitals in Delhi's Shahdara district of the national capital - Delhi State Cancer Institute and Swami Dayanand hospitals - have started vaccinating many essential workers. At Delhi's State Cancer Institute, scores of essential workers, who provided immense support to not just the healthcare system but also allied forces such as food deliveries through Anganwadis, small dispensaries, stood in serpentine queues to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Dr Pragya Shukla, nodal officer of the vaccine centre at DSCI, who also became the first woman doctor to get the Covid shot said, “I am also a hypertensive patient, but I have taken the vaccine.
