ABCABC News Dr Coatsworth also spoke about asymptomatic testing for coronavirus. Dr Coatsworth said that it might be "tempting" to think testing should be broadening to include people who don't have any symptoms when the number of new cases is so low. "People who have symptoms, they're the ones we want to go and get tested for COVID-19 because that's how our disease detect eves are going to find those small clusters within our community and stop them expanding even further." Dr Coatsworth said testing of asymptomatic people does happen, but only where there are clusters of cases as directed by the public health unit. "But that sort of approach of testing asymptomatic people needs to be driven by those public health units in response to outbreaks."
