One resident "severely injured" in Amsterdam elder care fire

A fire at a care home in Amsterdam left one person "severely injured" on Tuesday afternoon. The fire was contained to a single residence at the location, a spokesperson for the fire department said to NL Times. The alarm was elevated at 1:57 p.m., with more personnel sent to the scene to assist in moving the building's residents. Emergency services determined the building to be safe, with people allowed back into the most affected areas by 2:30 p.m.
