Security up for India vs West Indies Second test
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: The Rachakonda Police has made elaborate arrangements for the upcoming India vs West Indies Second test cricket match, which will be held over the weekend at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal from October 12 till October 16. As many as 1,500 police personals will be deployed for the match and over 100 CCTV cameras will be specially installed for the event, from vehicle checking point to parking places in order to cover the complete area, said the Police Commissioner of Rachakonda, Mahesh Bhagwat IPS. “Apart from this, special parties will be deployed to meet with any contingency and proper anti-sabotage checks with bomb disposal teams will continue round the clock checks till the end of match” he said, adding that special teams will be deployed to check the antisocial elements too. “The scanners that are installed at the stadium will allow police and other security personnel to detect explosives and other prohibited material inside the venue” said Mr Bhagwat, adding that the services of bomb disposal team and sniffer dogs were pressed into service to ensure safety in the stadium and parking place.
