A team of Harvard-affiliated astronomers announced the discovery of what they believed to be a newly identified asteroid hurtling dangerously close to Earth. However, only to later realize it was Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster, which was launched into space as part of a SpaceX publicity stunt seven years ago.
