Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a silent protest against Congress state chief Kamal Nath’s “item” jibe at state minister Imarti Devi, in Bhopal on Monday. Abhijit Mukherjee, son of former president Pranab Mukherjee, in 2012 had described Delhi gang rape protests being launched by “dented-painted women protesters” who go to discotheques and then turn up at India Gate to express outrage. At the height of the outrage in the country over the December 2012 gang rape in Delhi, Gaur had sought to cite “provocative dresses” worn by women as a factor.
