Telangana Congress MP Meets Modi to Complain Against 2 Hyderabad Varsities

HYDERABAD: Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to complain against the Telangana government for according private university status to Gurunanak University and Srinidhi University in Hyderabad. The MP said the government granted private university status to the two institutions even though they fail to meet the requirements mandated by the state law such as having exclusive land, lab facilities, etc. conduct an inquiry into the matter with appropriate agencies like – CBI, Enforcement Directorate, or by setting up a high-level task force at the Central level or an enquiry with the sitting judge of the Supreme Court,” the Congress MP wrote in his representation to the Prime Minister. “I would like to state that on this route at NH 65 on the route of Hyderabad to Vijayawada, particularly from LB Nagar to Malkapur having about 44 km is a 6-lane road, which has the most traffic and there is a dire need to develop and upgrade with the 6-lane road as Green Corridor Express Highway to meet traffic requirements,” the MP explained.
