As per the news agency PTI, educational institutes, shopping malls, religious places, and public transport are likely to remain shut beyond May 3, 2020. However, the final decision will be taken during the weekend, officials said on Monday, “Schools, colleges, shopping malls, religious places, and public transport are likely to remain shut while a ban on public and social gatherings is also expected to continue beyond May 3”, said the officials. UGC meeting The University Grants Commission on Monday called an emergent meeting to discuss issues of academic calendar and conduct of examinations as well as fresh admissions postponed due to Covid-19 lockdown.
