Nokia feature phone powered by Android seen in leaked image

India Today

Earlier this year, it was reported that Google is developing a version of Android for feature phones to take on KaiOS. Now, a leaked image has surfaced on the internet showing off a purported Nokia feature phone running on Android. It shows a feature phone without any branding running on what looks like an Android home screen complete with Chrome and YouTube apps and a microphone icon for Google Assistant. The image shared by 9to5Google should be taken with a fitsful of salt until Google confirms it is indeed working on an Android version for feature phones. Google could also be looking to India as one of the first markets to launch its touchless Android OS as the country is still a huge market for feature phones.
