Butler's new film The Bikeriders tells the story of Chicago motorcycle club The Vandals as it turns into a sinister gang, with Tom Hardy playing gang leader Johnny and Austin starring as member Benny Jodie Comer stars as Benny's girlfriend Kathy while the cast also features other big names including Norman Reedus and Michael Shannon For his star turn in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Butler won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, and he was also nominated for an Academy Award. His last visit Down Under was to attend the film's premiere back in 2022 Aussie actors Damon Herriman and Toby Wallace also play key characters.
