KTR gets interim protection from arrest till December 30 in Formula-E case
India TodayThe Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim relief to Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao, directing that he cannot be arrested until December 30 in the case related to alleged corruption during the Formula E race in Hyderabad. Sundaram told the court that the BRS government’s actions during the Formula E event were to safeguard it and that the primary charge against KTR was a procedural lapse, not corruption. The ACB, on Thursday, registered a case against the former Telangana minister, alleging misuse of government funds during the Formula E race in Hyderabad last year under the BRS government. The FIR claimed that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority paid Rs 55 crore to a foreign company on KTR’s direction, violating RBI guidelines.
