Odisha Truck Driver Fined Rs 1000 For Not Wearing a Helmet While Driving His Vehicle

In a bizarre incident exposing the negligence by the local Regional Transport Office functioning, a truck driver hailing from Odisha’s Ganjam district has been fined Rs 1,000 for not wearing a helmet while driving his truck. Pramod Kumar Swain from Odisha’s Ganjam, who had visited the Regional Transport Office in the area to renew the driving permit for his vehicle when he got a rude shock. Odisha: A truck driver has been fined Rs 1,000 for driving the vehicle without wearing a helmet in Ganjam district. In yet another similar incident, one Piyush Varshney from UP’s Aligarh said that he had received an e-challan of Rs 500 for not wearing a helmet while driving a four-wheeler a couple years ago.
