‘Following commencement of Madurai Metro Rail Project, it will be completed in three years’

Chennai Metro Rail Limited, Director, T. Archunan, on Saturday inspected a few spots along the Tirumangalam-Othakadai Metro Rail Project, including Madurai Railway Junction. An underground Metro station would come up near the Railway Junction / Periyar Bus Stand. Addressing mediapersons at Madurai Railway Junction, Mr. Archunan said that the Detailed Project Report was under process. The metro project in Madurai was much needed and once completed, it would become the lifeline of the city and the preferred mode of transport.
