Laxmmi Bomb digital rights sold for Rs 125 crore? Just speculation, says OTT platform

With the theatres being shut due to the novel coronavirus scare, more and more films are opting for a digital release. And it was being reported that the latest film to hop on the OTT release bandwagon is Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s horror comedy, Laxmmi Bomb. Not only this, reports were that the film’s digital rights have been sold for a whopping Rs 125 crore. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, a spokesperson for Disney+Hostar said that these were mere “hearsay and speculations.” Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana, directed by Raghava Lawrence. #LaxmmiBomb” The film was scheduled to hit the silver screens on Eid this year, facing a box office clash with Salman Khan’s Radhe.
