Assembly session, celebrations lead to traffic jams in city

Hyderabad: Hyderabad witnessed heavy traffic congestion on Monday as the Legislative Assembly session commenced, and the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu celebrations near Tank Bund drew large crowds. The situation caused delays throughout the day, with the city’s traffic police deputing additional personnel to manage the traffic jams. Due to the road closures and excited crowds leading towards the Secretariat, severe traffic jams were seen on roads in the surrounding areas. Himayatnagar, Lower Tank Bund, Musheerabad, Birla Mandir, RTC crossroads, Ranigunj and other areas saw bumper-to-bumper traffic for long distances.
