Beware! Fraudsters using call merging to steal OTPs, NPCI alerts: What is it and how to stay safe
The National Payments Corporation of India has issued a warning about a new scam that fraudsters are using to exploit call merging techniques. They cautioned users, stating: "Scammers are using call merging to trick you into revealing OTPs. As soon as the OTP is provided, the fraudsters execute unauthorised transactions, resulting in financial losses for the victim.
