Bharat to replace India: List of changes recommended by NCERT panel

A panel headed by C I Isaac has suggested a slew of to revise the school curriculum which was constituted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training.NCERT officials, however, said no decision has been taken yet on the panel's recommendations. Here are the major changes that the panel has recommended: NCERT panel recommends the introduction of Indian Knowledge System in curriculum for all subjects. NCERT panel recommends introducing 'classical history' instead of 'ancient history' in textbooks. NCERT panel recommends replacing 'India' with 'Bharat' in school textbooks.
