Development works worth ₹38 crore at Begumpet railway station in finishing stage

Works worth ₹38 crore has been complete at Begumpet railway station and it is getting ready to be dedicated to the nation, informed Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy after inspecting the ongoing works here on Saturday. The redevelopment works include a new station building with improved façade, platform surface improvements, 12 metre wide foot over bridge, escalators, lifts, booking counters, signages and a waiting hall. The Minister pointed out that Telangana got a railway budget allocation of ₹5,337 crore for the financial year 2025-26 and works worth ₹39,300 crore, including electrification, new lines, doubling and tripling, are in progress. Earlier, SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain briefed on the progress of work and said the station is being developed as an eco-friendly green railway station.
