The incident took place around 8.30 a.m. when Sunil Jain, a resident of Krishna Nagar, who owned a utensils business, was returning home riding pillion on a scooter from Farsh Bazar’s Yamuna Sports Complex, where he had gone for a morning walk. The police said the assailants, wearing helmets, came on foot and opened fire at Jain when his scooter stopped at the Vishwas Nagar traffic signal. ‘Did not have enmity’ “His friend said Jain had implored the assailants not to shoot him but it all happened in a matter of a few seconds,” said the officer.
