Coronavirus outbreak: Total number of infected in United States rises to 13 with another case confirmed in California

The individual was taken to the University of California San Diego Medical Center for observation and isolation California: The 13th case of coronavirus in the United States was detected in California in a person under federal quarantine after returning from Wuhan, China, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Monday. The adult patient was among US nationals evacuated from Wuhan, the epicenter of the disease, who were under mandatory quarantine for 14 days at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, near San Diego, the CDC said in a statement. The individual was taken to the University of California San Diego Medical Center for observation and isolation and is “doing well,” the hospital said in a statement. The latest individual diagnosed with coronavirus was the first confirmed case among some 800 US nationals evacuated to military bases in the United States on flights from Wuhan, the epicenter of the disease.
