Hyderabad: Big hospitals neglect fever patients
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: While the Indian Medical Association of Telangana and small nursing homes have come forward to help the people in the city to deal with fevers and dengue, corporate hospitals are not doing their bit, according to some health activists. Mujtabha Hasan Askari of Helping Hand Foundation says, “What are the large corporate hospitals doing in this time of crisis? Large-scale screening in vulnerable areas will reduce the load of patients in hospitals and will provide easy access to medicines and diagnostics at their doorstep. The corporate social responsibility of these hospitals can come into play in such a health emergency.” Corporate hospitals are already dealing with dengue cases ensuring patients are able to afford the huge costs.
