Trump admin creates snitch line for companies to report CFPB staff protecting consumers

Russ Vought, acting director of the Office of Management and Budget, confirmed that the Trump administration has set up a "tip line" for companies to snitch on employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who are doing their jobs despite a work stoppage order. On Thursday, Vought said the X account had been created so that companies could report staffers who continued their work to protect consumers. "The CFPB appears to have set up a Twitter account for companies to report CFPB *employees who violate the agency's work stoppage order -- @cfpb_tipline," Punchbowl's Brendan Pedersen reported.
