West Bengal: Two universities to conduct offline examination
India TodayTwo university authorities have announced that they are going to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations offline this year, four days after the issuance of a circular by the West Bengal Education department which left the decision to choose the mode of student assessment to the discretion of the institutes. DECISION TAKEN BY RBU EXECUTIVE COUNCIL Rabindra Bharati University Vice-Chancellor Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury, informed that the varsity’s executive committee took the decision to conduct the examinations offline after taking various aspects into consideration. We are sure there won’t be any problem on the other days, too.” JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY TO CONDUCT EXAM OFFLINE Jadavpur University Vice-Chancellor Suranjan Das also informed that the examinations are going to be conducted for all streams. The Jadavpur VC further clarified that as far as modalities regarding the holding of exams are concerned, the university will follow the recommendations made by a committee that was set up to take a call on such matters CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY TO DISCUSS MATTER ON MAY 20 An official further said that the varsity’s undergraduate council is going to meet on May 20 to discuss the matter.
