It’s clear Centre does not want to talk, we’ll resume ‘Dilli Chalo’: farmer leader
The HinduA day after suspending their ‘Dilli Chalo’ march, farm leaders at the Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana on Saturday said a group of 101 farmers will start a peaceful foot march towards the national capital on Sunday afternoon. The protesters had attempted to march to Delhi on Friday but called off the stir after some of them got injured from the tear gas shells used by the Haryana police to disperse them. Addressing the media at the Shambhu border on Saturday, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha coordinator Sarwan Singh Pandher said, “We are yet to receive any message from the Centre regarding talks. Regarding the police action against the protesters on Friday, the KMM leader said 16 farmers had suffered injuries, and one of them had lost hearing due to the tear gas shells fired by the Haryana police.
