In 2017, the BSP was victorious on 19 seats and won 22.23 per cent votes, while the corresponding figures for the Congress, which, at the time, contested in alliance with the SP, stood at 7 and 6.25 per cent, respectively. In the current elections, SP ally Rashtriya Lok Dal won eight seats and a vote share of 2.85 per cent.
