Hayathnagar SI Faces Allegations of Harassment

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old woman on Saturday filed a complaint with the Rachakonda police commissioner alleging that she was sexually harassed by a sub-inspector attached to Hayathnagar police. He added that a few days later, the woman approached him and lodged another complaint stating that the car that is in her mother’s name was taken by her husband. “Three weeks back, she came to file a complaint that her husband had taken away `2 lakh cash and 40 tolas of gold to which I asked her go to the women’s police station as we are not supposed to take up civil disputes,” the SI said. “That is when she made baseless allegations against me because I did not take her civil case and reported the matter to the commissioner,” he said.
