Elliot Cadeau, UNC ponder emotional loss to No. 7 Florida after comeback falls short

The AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll is back every week throughout the season! “I feel like I made some plays toward the end that didn’t help the team.” Coach Hubert Davis said he didn’t say anything to Cadeau after the game — a trait that he learned from legendary Tar Heels coach Dean Smith. I rarely say anything after a game because I want to collect my thoughts as well.” Davis said it doesn’t surprise him that Cadeau was emotional because he knows how badly he wants to win. “There’s always ups and downs, especially in college basketball,” said Cadeau, who finished with 11 points, seven assists and four turnovers. The Tar Heels battled back to beat Dayton earlier this season after a slow start, but Davis called it “unsustainable” against tops teams.
