Over 2.40 lakh students to appear for SSLC examination in Kittur Karnataka region

A total of 2,41,150 students from the nine educational districts of the Kittur Karnataka educational division will be appearing for the SSLC examination which is scheduled to begin on Friday. During the 2024-25 academic year, there were 2,54,965 students in Class X in 3,871 high schools in the Kittur Karnataka region, which include 1,449 government, 1,217 aided and 1,205 unaided schools. The district-wise breakdown of students is as follows: Vijayapura 40,626 students, Bagalkot 33,209, Belagavi 33,072, Dharwad 28,666, Gadag 16,458, Haveri 24,736, Uttara Kannada 9,180, Sirsi educational district 9,963 and Chikkodi educational district 45,240. Chikkodi educational district has the highest number of 45,240 students registered for the examination and has 130 exam centres and Uttara Kannada district has the lowest number of students, 9,180, and 37 exam centres.
