How many drivers with 12 points on their licence are on the road?

There is a shocking number of motorists who are being given free reign to drive on our roads despite having racked-up enough penalty points to be banned, an investigation has found. A staggering 9,349 people are currently legally being allowed to drive despite having accrued 12 points or more on their licence, according to figures revealed by the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency. When asked by Auto Express how many people currently on the road have a valid licence showing 12 or more points, the DVLA's data shows there are 9,349 cases.
