SC Sub-Categorisation Law Will Be Followed by a Big Recruitment Drive: Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha

Hyderabad: Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said that the state government had initiated the process of enacting legislation on the sub-categorisation of Scheduled Castes communities for the purpose of reservations. Participating at the Madiga Martyrs’ Memorial Meeting held here on Tuesday, the minister said that the struggles for rights should not be politicised and should be approached from a humanitarian perspective. He credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the government's decision to take steps to implement SC sub-classification in the Assembly within an hour of the Supreme Court's verdict on August 1, 2024. Legislators from the Madiga community, including Kale Yadaiah, Vemula Veeresham, Thota Lakshmikant Rao, former ministers Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Dr A Chandrasekhar, AICC secretary A Sampath Kumar, former MP Pasunoori Dayakar and Madiga United Front chairman Medi Papayya attended the event.
