8 MLAs join BJP day after quitting AAP ahead of Delhi elections

In a massive jolt to the Aam Aadmi Party, eight MLAs who had resigned from the party joined the BJP on Saturday, just a few days ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. The former AAP leaders joined the BJP in the presence of the party's national vice-president Baijayant Panda and the Delhi unit chief Virendraa Sachdeva. Palam MLA Bhawna Gaur, in a letter to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, said that she was quitting as she had lost faith in both him and the party.
