Mumbai Police to make special security arrangements for New Year's Eve
India TodayThe Mumbai Police is making special security arrangements in view of New Year's Eve on December 31, when the city will be revelling in festivities and celebrations welcoming 2025. Also, eight Additional Police Commissioners, 29 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 53 Assistant Commissioners of Police along with the Traffic Department will also be overseeing various aspects of the city's security, officials said. On the said day, the Mumbai Police will have checkpoints at various places and patrolling and fixing-point arrangements will also be made at crowded places, important installations, and tourist spots. The Brihanmumbai Police Force is appealing to all the citizens to observe the rules and celebrate the arrival of the new year with enthusiasm and gaiety," a senior police officer said.
