CM seeks Google Cloud manufacturing unit in AP
VIJAYAWADA: In continuing efforts in Davos, visiting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held talks with top executives of renowned companies, Google Cloud, Petronas and PepsiCo, seeking investment in Andhra Pradesh. An official release here said, “The Chief Minister urged the Google Cloud CEO to set up a manufacturing unit in AP to integrate its server supply chain, so as to make the state its hub for services in server maintenance.This was the third day of the World Economic Forum meet in Davos. He has been meeting heads/ representatives of top multinational corporations from across the globe and showcasing AP as an ideal destination for cutting-edge technology, green energy, and infrastructure projects, the official release said.Google Cloud, the third-largest cloud provider globally, has established two cloud regions in Delhi and Mumbai. Naidu invited Petronas to expand further by investing in Mulapeta, which is emerging as a petrochemical hub, and the proposed Global Capability Centre in the state.During a meeting with the CEO of PepsiCo International Beverages, Eugene Willemsen, and the PepsiCo Foundation chairman Stephen Kehoe, Naidu proposed making Visakhapatnam its Global Delivery Centre and the city its Digital Hub.
