New secretariat may come up at old site, not Bison Polo Ground

Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has reportedly dropped the idea of constructing the new secretariat building at Bison Polo Ground and decided to construct a new secretariat on the site of the old one. Once the AP government hands over the secretariat buildings it is using, the Telangana state government will shift its secretariat departments into those buildings. Mr Rao had planned to construct the secretariat at Bison Polo Ground, which led to a controversy. Against this backdrop, Mr Rao dropped the proposal of constructing the secretariat at Bison Polo Ground and opted to redevelop the old secretariat premises.
