20-member CBI team reaches Dhanbad to investigate hit-and-run death case of Jharkhand judge

A 20-member CBI team from Delhi reached Dhanbad in Jharkhand to investigate the hit-and-run case in which Judge Uttam Anand lost his life. The CBI team investigating the case is headed by Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Shukla. On July 28, District Sessions Judge Uttam Anand died after he was hit by an autorickshaw during his morning jog at around 5.30 am at Randhir Verma Chowk in Dhanbad. CCTV footage showed that the 49-year-old judge was jogging on one side of a fairly wide road when the heavy auto-rickshaw veered towards him, hit him from behind and fled.
