Sudanese woman nabbed with gold worth Rs 26.11 lakh at Bengaluru airport

A 38-year-old Sudanese national was caught with 535gm of gold paste worth Rs 26.11 lakh hid in capsules inside her rectum at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. According to a report published in The Times of India, the woman had arrived from Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight on Tuesday evening. At around 9.30 pm on Tuesday, customs officials on the terminal floor intercepted a woman who was behaving in a suspicious manner. On being grilled further, the woman accepted that she was carrying three capsules filled with gold paste inside her rectum to evade customs officials at the airport.
