Video: SpiceJet employee slaps cop at Jaipur airport, arrested
India TodayA SpiceJet employee was arrested on Thursday after she slapped a Central Industrial Security Force officer during an argument over security screening. Anuradha Rani, a food supervisor with SpiceJet, was entering the airport along with other employees through the vehicle gate around 4 am when Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad stopped them for not having valid permission to use the gate. Calling it an unfortunate incident, SpiceJet Airlines stated, "While escorting a catering vehicle at the steel gate, our female security staff member, who had a valid airport entry pass issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, India’s civil aviation security regulator, was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel, including asking her to come and meet him after his duty hours at his home." The airline stated that they had filed a complaint for immediate legal action against the alleged sexual harassment of their female employee.
