A celebratory mood was seen in every nook and corner of Vijayawada on the eve of the New Year on Tuesday, while many liquor outlets brimmed with crowds from the evening onwards. Some bakeries had set up stalls outside especially for the New Year celebrations. A series of events have lined up to celebrate the New Year’s eve in the city, including famed composer Mani Sharma’s live concert at Babburi Gardens and singer Geetha Madhuri’s live perfomance at Murali Resorts in Poranki. Hyatt Place is having singer Bejawada Bebbakka, of Big Boss fame, and singer Vikhyat Sairam for the New Year soiree.
