Mahadevappa inspects works on drinking water projects in Mysuru

Minister in charge of Mysuru district H.C. Mahadevappa inspected the ongoing works of Kabini and Hale Unduwadi drinking water projects on the city’s outskirts on Sunday. The officials also said that the first phase of the Hale Unduwadi project, which envisages drawing water from KRS backwaters and supplying drinking water to Mysuru City and 92 villages en route, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025. As part of the Kabini drinking water project, which is being implemented in three phases to increase its total capacity to 184 MLD, a new 60 MLD flocculator and tube settler unit, along with rapid sand filtration units, were being constructed at Kembalu water treatment. The 184 MLD capacity Kabini drinking water project is being executed jointly by Mysuru City Corporation and Mysuru Urban Development Authority.
