The national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, Kejriwal, made the statement in response to a question about reports that the AAP's chief ministerial candidate for Goa is the owner of a Maserati car. Kejriwal on why he chose Palekar Asked why he chose Amit Palekar to be the AAP's chief ministerial face in Goa, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Amit Palekar is an educated man, Goa's famous advocate, honest to a fault, ready to die for Goa." He also mentioned Amit Palekar's fast unto death in protest against the administration's decision to demolish a heritage property in old Goa in December of last year.
