Zaira Wasim molestation case: Accused Vikas Sachdeva granted bail

Vikas Sachdeva, the Mumbai businessman who was accused of molesting Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim on a Vistara flight, was granted bail by Dindoshi Sessions Court on Wednesday. 39-year-old Vikas was arrested late on December 10 after the alleged molestation incident involving the “Dangal” actress enraged the nation, evoking intense reactions from politicians, women organisations and activists. A day later, Vikas Sachdeva’s wife Divya issued a statement in which she sought to defend her husband as innocent claiming he had no intention to molest. Later, the Vistara Airlines ordered an enquiry and apologized while the Sahar Police Station in Mumbai lodged a case and later arrested Sachdeva.
