Jagan's shift to Vizag: Police force being strengthened in city

Visakhapatnam: The Vizag district administration is gearing up its machiney to improve the civic facilities and beautify the city while efforts are on to strengthen the police force here as Chief Minister Jagan Reddy is planning to shift his base to Visakhapatnam on Dasara day. I will also be needing two joint commissioners to lead the forces,’’ said the new commissioner of police, Ravi Shankar. Another senior police said ganja smuggling activities would be controlled in the ASR district agency tracts and the surveillance on Maoists increased. On the civic amenities, Mayor Hari Kumari said the city has been beautified for the G-20 summit, the Global Investors Meet and the international fleet review organised by the Navy at RK Beach.
