There is an attempt to erase diverse identities of the nation, says writer

The Union government has been attempting to create a one-nation identity by erasing all rich diversities, said J.K. Ramesh, writer and president of the 19th Shivamogga district Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. In his presidential address at the inaugural ceremony of the two-day Sammelana in Shivamogga on Thursday, Mr. Ramesh said Karnataka has a rich and robust history. Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa said that he would get funds from the State government for the activities of Sahitya Parishat in Shivamogga. Kannada Development Authority chairperson Dr. Purushothama Bilimale, Sahitya Parishat district president D. Manjunath, writer B. Chandre Gowda, and others were present.
