Telangana HC provides relief to K.T. Rama Rao; no arrest till December 30 in Formula E race case
The HinduThe Telangana High Court has passed an interim order not to arrest former Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K.T. Rama Rao till December 30 in a case of corruption registered by Telangana ACB over release of funds for Formula-E Race during BRS government. In a relief for Mr. Rama Rao, Justice N. Shravan Kumar Venkat of the High Court directed on Friday that the investigation into the case should continue and the former Minister should co-operate with the investigators. Mr. Rama Rao moved a lunch motion in the Telangana High Court seeking direction not to take coercive steps against him. Mr. Rama Rao stated that Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority was a corporation and there was a provision in the Act that funds could be spent through it for any developmental activity pertaining to the City.
