Trump booster quits Washington Post after livestream meltdown

Raw Story

Hugh Hewitt has quit the Washington Post, but his leaving has nothing to do with the paper's decision to withhold presidential endorsements. In an exclusive report, the New York Post revealed that Hewitt was live on air with colleagues Jonathan Capehart and Ruth Marcus. Marcus said that it's clear Trump and the GOP are deploying a litigious strategy to win the election, and an angry Hewitt accused Capehart and Marcus of overlooking the facts of the cases due to their liberal biases, which drew a rebuke from Capehart. "I just don't appreciate being lectured to about reporting when so many times you come here with lots of things that are —" Capehart said before Hewitt cut him off. "As the newsroom’s live journalism platform, Washington Post Live is known for its dynamic conversations and thought-provoking perspectives on top issues of the day, such as this morning's "First Look" program," a spokesperson told Raw Story in a statement.
