Read our privacy policy The nostalgia around Home Alone is palpable, and Fox and Ryan Reynolds have found an irreverent and ingenious way of reimagining the classic movie. Reynolds will produce Stoned Alone for the studio, an R-rated comedy set to be directed by Augustine Frizzell from a script by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider. The remake of sorts could be in cinemas in time for Home Alone's 20th anniversary, the Chris Columbus-directed original having been released during the holiday season in 1990.
